In addition to diapers and baby wipes, children’s books are provided to our families.
We believe that what happens during the first few years sets the stage for the rest of a child's life. Research shows that reading aloud to a child supports brain development, language development and early literacy. Families who are economically fragile, like those we serve, are less likely to read to their infants and toddlers. This is where The Diaper Train comes in. Each child who comes to The Diaper Train, including older siblings, receives a book.
Please consider hosting a book drive to collect books for children ages 0-5. For more information contact Program Coordinator - Lisa Ives at firstname.lastname@example.org.
